The Rise and Fall of the Dirty Snowball

snowball_fight15THE major theosophical agitators of modern scientific consensus theories are the subjects of evolution, physics, space, matter and consciousness.

Light says occultism is a substance, space is not a vacuum, matter is conscious, gravity is a minor law, we didn’t evolve from animals, and the atom is infinitely divisible, (& etc).

The infinitely divisibility of the atom argued by H. P. Blavatsky in The Secret Doctrine (1:519), was finally accepted into the turn of the 20th Century. Heaping puzzlement on criticism she adds, however, that the atom “belongs wholly to the domain of metaphysics:”

“It is an entified abstraction — at any rate for physical Science — and has nought to do with physics, strictly speaking.” (The Masks of Science)

But perhaps the most provocative idea of all, and the one most vigorously promoted by Theosophy, is the electrical underpinning of the universe.  Cosmologists will still not relinquish their death grip on gravity — hopefully this is changing, thanks to the EU.

The theory of gravity remains the predominant cosmological hypothesis today. Electricity is sometimes considered but its effects are usually minimized electrical universe (EU) proponents point out.

Plasma field

Plasma field or hot gas?

The dispute is explored in the article Electric Charge vs. Hot Gas posted this month by The Thunderbolts Project, the website of the new Electrical Universe science. Einstein’s moving masses and heat are still the only factors allowed to operate in the universe.

Electric charge is sometimes considered, but it is usually negligible in its effect, if it has any effect at all, say the EU scientists.

In previous Picture of the Day articles, it was noted that charged particles streaming from stars like the Sun are still called a “wind” instead of calling them electric and magnetic currents, all in support of the gravity-only theory. Real substance is what Mme. Blavatsky referred to as “phlogiston“(called plasma today), or “radiant matter” — the “fourth state” of matter, so called.

Beyond Gravitation

Blind Faith

“Science should have neither desires nor prejudices. Truth should be her sole aim.”

Sir William Robert Grove

Many of the “laws” of occult science have been “put aside … and unceremoniously dumped in the trash heap of exploded theories,” Mme. Blavatsky complained.

And notes: “gravitation — the principle that all bodies attract each other with a force proportional directly to their masses, and inversely to the squares of the distances between them — survives to this day and reigns, supreme as ever, in the alleged ethereal waves of Space.”

As a hypothesis, gravity has been threatened with death for “its inadequacy to embrace all the facts presented to it,” Blavatsky wrote: “As a physical law, it is the King” — and — ‘it is little short of blasphemy . . . . an insult to Newton’s grand memory to doubt it. . . .’  is the exclamation of an American reviewer of Isis Unveiled.”

“Well; what is finally that invisible and intangible God in whom we should believe on blind faith?”, she asks. “Astronomers who see in gravitation an easy-going solution for many things, and an universal force which allows them to calculate thereby planetary motions, care little about the Cause of Attraction.”

“They call Gravity a law, a cause in itself. We call the forces acting under that name effects, and very secondary effects, too.”

“Science is like Caesar’s wife, and must not be suspected — this is evident. But it can be respectfully criticised, nevertheless. At all events, it may be reminded that ‘the apple’ is a dangerous fruit.”

Adam-and-Eve

Adam and Eve

“For the second time in the history of mankind, it may become the cause of the FALL — this time, of ‘exact’ Science,” Blavatsky exclaimed:

“A comet whose tail defies the law of gravity right in the Sun’s face can hardly be credited with obeying that law.”

“That gravitation is a law which nothing can overcome, but which, nevertheless, is overcome in and out of season by the most ordinary celestial or terrestrial bodies — the tails of impudent comets, for instance,” [The Secret Doctrine 1:505, The Paradoxes of Science].

That we owe the universe to the holy creative Trinity, called Inert Matter, Senseless Force and Blind Chance. — Of the real essence and nature of any of these three, Science knows nothing…”

The Electric Comet

“The conventional view is that comets are inert chunks of ice and dust, or ‘dirty snowballs’ evaporating in the heat of the Sun.”

“The alternative view is that comets discharge electrically as they move through a radial electrical field of the Sun. No middle ground between the two views seems possible …”

snowball_fight9[The Thunderbolts Project]

“We believe that this critical review of textbook comet theory can have a major impact on human understanding of these remarkable bodies. It can also reach well beyond the specialized science of comets to provoke a reconsideration of the Sun, planetary history, and a good deal more. We live in an Electric Universe, and the enigmatic behavior of comets provides unique insights into the role of charged particles and electrified plasma throughout the Cosmos.”

“. . . . . The extreme tenuity of a comet’s mass is also proved by the phenomenon of the tail, which, as the comet approaches the sun, is thrown out sometimes to a length of 90 millions of miles in a few hours. And what is remarkable, THIS TAIL IS THROWN OUT AGAINST THE FORCE OF GRAVITY by some repulsive force, probably electrical, so that it always points away from the Sun (!!!)”
